You also need to move to the Outgoing Mail Server or SMTP. For the hostname enter smtp.gmail.com and make sure that you save your changes. You should now be able to access your Gmail account directly from your iPhone via IMAP and now have the capability to read the emails in your Gmail account right from the palm of your hand.
