5 Ways To Convert More Visitors Into Sales

September 4, 2008

Even though you may generate countless visitors on a daily basis, if you can’t transform them into successful purchases, your hard work will be for naught.  Here are five methods you can choose to implement to immediately increase your web conversion rate.

1.    Attention-grabbing headlines.  Web citizens have become impatient in this day and age.  It’s quite easy for them to visit another web destination every time they meet something despisable in your own web page.  The secret lies in winning their interest fast.  This can be accomplished with cleverly-crafted headlines.  Headlines, after all, are the first things that your visitors will be greeted with when they firsr arrive at your page.  If they’ll like what they’ll see, they’ll hang around.  If not, they’ll abandon your page just as fast as they arrived.

2.    Easy-to-read copy.  You’d think that with the expanding reach of the net, more and more browser will be used to reading.  The contrary, however, is what happened.  Web users easily get tired reading, what with the thousands of materials they are exposed to with each and every session of their web experience.  The secret is in simplifying things for them to read your sales page.  Use numberings and bullets as much as you can.  Guarantee your copy easy to scan.  Prepare your sales pafe for an impatient audience and you’ll be rewarded greatly.

3.    Benefit-oriented selling.  Your visitors will buy leaning on emotions and provide reasons for their purchases leaning on logic.  Don’t forcefully advertise the specifications of your product down your audience’s throats.  Instead, inform them of the advantages they can enjoy from what you’re offering.  Share with them what they stand to gain.  This is a more scientific approach of stirring up their desire to buy your product.  Share the features later on, as your clients will need such data to justify the purchase they will be planning to make.

4.    Urgency marketing.  Push your readers to buy from you ASAP.  Don’t allow them to doubt their instinct, as you might lose some sales.  Use OTOs, special offers, and other time-sensitive models to lure them into purchasing your product immediately.

5.    Use involvement devices in your sales copy.  Your sales copy doesn’t have to be a linear, straight up staement of your offer.  You can always add involvement devices that will compel your prospects to make an emotional investment on your venture.  Ask or solicit for their ideas.  Or, supply them with multiple choices for possible answers.  Integrate calculator scripts that they can utilize.  Instill in their minds that they are a part of the sales page.
