Choosing an online business wisely can be tough. There are many fabulous companies, products and people so where do you start? What is essential in an online or home business? Here are helpful questions to ask when looking at an online or home based business:
1. How expensive is it to get into this business? It shouldn’t tens of thousands to get into it. However, most businesses that don’t require much also don’t have a lucrative compensation plan. 2. Does the business require a home inventory? If so, this may not be for you since you are not starting a brick and mortar business. Many companies hold their products in their facilities until it is ordered from the customers you sign up. Some companies do everything online – like selling e-books or software. This is the most efficient model in the Information Age.
3. Is integrity important to this company? This is priority #1! Businesses with questionable ethics can go under and all your hard work will dissipate. Integrity is vital to your long term success.
4. How much time will it require weekly and in the long term? Initially, while you are learning, you will spend a lot of time getting acclimated to the products, mechanics, training, etc. Keep in mind that even when it is an easy system, it will still require some time and effort.
5. How long does it take to see cash come in? Many businesses out there allow you have an earn while you learn system. You should be rewarded at least 75% of the commission on your sales. 9. When you called the person owning the web site were they friendly and available for you? Did they call back promptly? Ask them what else they promote to get a feel for if they are spread out or available for helping you.
10. Does this align with your long term goals? Some businesses will help you gain your long term desires, and monetary goals because of the training offered. The business that I am involved with has helped me succeed in numerous areas of life. Some of my dreams are happening partly due to the business training I received.
11. What previous knowledge, if any, does this business require? Does the company provide good quality training for members who do NOT have previous experience? The training should include product training, business skills, and show the member how to think like a successful business owner. Since most people think within the framework of an employee, not an owner, this type of training is critical for success.
