4 Things ALL Articles Must Have - Don’t Forget!

The importance of articles in today’s websites and internet based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot toward the success and the drive of traffic into one’s site. It has become a key element in making a site work and earn a profit. If you are a web owner or site operator then the articles you use, will need to work with your topic and you need to have a strong inclination, on which to use and where to use them.

Articles are one of the most effective ways to create new traffic to your website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings on search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

However, there are certain standards you must follow, in order to be successful. In order to get the most benefits from your articles, your site will need to have each of the requirements. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. By enticing them in this way, they will be more willing to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you in making your articles.

1. Using Keywords or Keyword Phrases in your article.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. People, will usually visit websites to either browse around, or they are looking for specific topics of interest to them. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for; e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera, or it could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able to have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools on the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining, what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. These resources will help you determine the keywords to use in your article.

2. Keyword Density

Now that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to “feel”, its presence.

You will need to have around 10% - 15% of keyword density to get the attention of search engines, before they will begin to move you up in ranking. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Basically keyword density is just the number of times you use a keyword or keyword phrase in your article. Of course, the number of times you can use them, will depend on the size of the article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. If you use them too much you can loose article structure quality, and then you run the risk of appearing overeager, which is a turn off to readers or even to the search engines.

But if you do not use enough keywords, then the search engines may not pick up your article.

3. Writing Good Articles

Having good content is another reason why keyword ’overkill’ is a bad idea. You want your visitors to consider them good reading material. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Providing them with a lot of factual information will better keep their attention. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you, they will be able to trust you and your products.

4. Linking Articles

Another important thing to remember, if you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link to your site.

Have a little resource box with a brief description of your site and it should always be placed right after the articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.
